About the role

  • Permanent full time

The Practice Manager is responsible for the management of clinical operations within Regional NSW, including outreach locations associated with that area. Through responsive, hands-on leadership, this role ensures the effective and efficient functioning of a fast-paced, quality, client-centred service. Core components of the role incorporate excellent leadership, commercial acumen, financial management and compassionate human resource management. The position requires integrity, adaptability, and highly developed communication skills to manager a team of healthcare professionals and ensure that clients receive the best possible care. The role works closely with our clinicians and administrative staff to ensure that the clinics run smoothly and efficiently in order to meet targets. This is a multi-faceted role which requires regular sire visits to clinic and outreach locations.

Desired Skills and Experience

Selection Criteria
Essential

  • Degree qualifications in management, business, health, or related field and/or
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a practice management role
  • Demonstrated leadership skill with proven ability to manage all aspects of day-to-day operations within a primary care practice setting
  • Strong business acumen, particularly with regards to financial and human resource management
  • Demonstrated ability to budget at a financial and operational level along with workforce planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective use of Microsoft suite products
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively relate to a diverse range of people
  • Proven excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload and to provide a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse issues systematically and develop innovative solutions
  • Familiarity with Medicare billing rules, processes and methods
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver's License and ability to travel throughout NSW 
  • Must have full permanent working rights in Australia

Desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in managing primary care service delivery working with relevant population groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disability and/r young people
  • Knowledge and experience in accreditation and compliance including NSQHS Standards and Clinical Governance Frameworks
  • Experience in the application and management of Best Practice, Hot Doc, and other patient management systems

  • A Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role
