About the role
Are you a GP registrar interested in developing skills in reproductive and sexual health? This Extended Skills term offers competency in medical abortion provision and follow-up, sexual health, contraceptive options counselling and menopause management.
The Extended Skills Medical Officer will be an empathetic and keen learner with proven experience in communication and interpersonal skills and comprehensive patient-driven care.

Desired Skills and Experience
Selection Criteria
Essential
Primary medical degree with current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner
Unrestricted Medicare provider number
FPAA Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health (or equivalent)
Broad based clinical experience
Demonstrated commitment to regularly update reproductive and sexual health skills and knowledge
High level interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise electronic medical record systems
Vocational registration with Medicare
Must have Australian working rights
Desirable
Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s License and ability to travel & work at various locations across greater metropolitan Sydney
Other requirements
A Criminal Record Check and Working With Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role
